The Nebraska Catholic Day of Giving is a 24-hour event intended to inspire generosity that will benefit Catholic parishes, schools, ministries, and organizations throughout the state. Through this initiative sponsored collectively by the Archdiocese of Omaha, the Diocese of Lincoln and the Diocese of Grand Island, we will come together as one, unified Church. The desire is to create awareness and help organizations raise critically important funds so that they may continue to accomplish the outstanding work they do for so many throughout Nebraska.

Join us each month as we pray the rosary and then attend the 11:15 am Mass. Following Mass, we will pray the litanies and offer confession.

Come to the Holy Family Shrine each First Friday of the school year to spend quiet time with Our Lord!

Join us for an evening of praise worship and adoration of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. His presence heals!

The Fellowship of Catholic Artists teams up with St. Vincent de Paul for their Spring Craft Fair to benefit St. Vincent's Divine Mercy Pantry.

Marion Miner of the Nebraska Catholic Conference, will unpack the abortion rights amendment's deceptive terminology and explain its implications.

Katherine Burow of the Abortion Dialogue Academy, will teach us how to have effective and fruitful conversations with others about this amendment. Light breakfast offerings will be available at 9 am with the rosary at 9:30 am followed by presentations.

Theme: Mary, Our Spiritual Mother Reflection: Featuring Dr. Mark Miravalle and others: Jesus said: “Behold Your Mother”. How has Mary impacted your life and who is Mary to you? Mary is a spiritual mother to every human being who are disciples of Jesus. Mary has united her heart with the suffering of her Son, but also she unites her heart with each of us. She is an advocate to her Son when we seek her intercession. This hour includes the recitation of the Rosary and availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Catholic recording artist Connor Flanagan and Special Guest Danny Leger will be performing a live concert. Connor is a former youth minister and now a full time Catholic hip-hop artist. He has been featured on Ascension Presents, performed at numerous conferences including Steubenville, and is stopping here on his tour this summer. Danny Leger is an Omaha based missionary and founder of the Hope of the Poor Ministry, which supports the homeless here in Omaha and around the world.

The Archdiocese of Omaha invites anyone impacted by abuse to come together and pray for the healing of wounds. Archbishop George Lucas will preside. This is not a Mass. People of all faiths are welcome. There will be an opportunity to pray silently or with another person. Reception with light refreshments to follow.

All Omaha-area college faculty and students graduating this year are invited to attend with their families. All graduates, please wear your regalia and arrive at 7:15pm to process in to Mass. There will be pews reserved for graduates and faculty at the front of the Oratory.

Following Mass we will have a reception with food and alcohol served.

Individuals and families seeking the intercession of St. Peregrine, the patron saint of those dealing with cancer, are invited to a special Mass celebrated for those who are ill and their loved ones on the third Saturday of every month.

Pro-abortion activist are leading an effort to create a right to late-pregnancy abortion in the Nebraska Constitution. Join pro-life champion Marion Miner of the Nebraska Catholic Conference to learn about this deceptive proposal, what the Catholic Church is doing about it, and how you can help defeat it.

Logan Hepp, Brian Hula and Will Targy will be ordained to deacon during this Mass.

Saint Cecilia Cathedral in collaboration with Cathedral Arts Project presents this exhibit which illustrates Catholic imagination in the design and embellishment of garments and artifacts of the Catholic Church spanning more than three centuries. Gallery hours Tuesday-Saturday Noon-4 pm; Sunday 11:30 am-2:30 pm. Exhibit runs May 26 through August 4, 2024.

Here is an explanation of a generational healing Mass, if you would like to add to the bulletin: God is not bound by time and space. Through the sacrifice of the Mass, God can reach back into the past into the lives of our ancestors who have already died, the lives of all our family members now living and the lives of those yet to be born.

We will pray to God asking Him to enter into the lives of our families; past, present and future for healing.

The 15th Annual Strawberry Brunch is a fundraiser for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha's downtown Food Pantry. Doors open at 10:00 am.

Brunch attendees will have the opportunity to bid on donated auction and raffle items. Chicken salad on croissants and related "brunch" items will be served.

Deadline for table registration and auction item donation is May 1, 2024.

Theme: Sacrament of Sacrifice (Feast of Corpus Christi) Reflection: During Mass, the Priest confers, but we offer ourselves to God. Cardinal Arinze expresses how God loves each one of us by name. Reflection on the life of Pope John Paul II and his courage which is an example for our lives. God sees in each of us the person that we can be in overcoming our weaknesses.

The Serra Clubs of Omaha and West Omaha will host their Annual Golf, Tennis & Pickleball Outing, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, and awards at The Pines Country Club in Valley on Monday, June 3 (best ball format) with registration beginning at 11:00 AM. Tennis and Pickleball will both be at Genesis Westroads at 3:00 PM. All proceeds received support the vocations programs of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Early registrations are welcome!

All women are invited to the Magnificat-Omaha* Summer Brunch at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on June 22. Our guest speaker is Patti Gallagher Mansfield, a participant in the historic “Duquesne Weekend,” which marked the beginning of the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church. Author of five books, she has ministered at conferences for laity and priests, proclaiming the grace of the Baptism of the Spirit on five continents.
