Bulletin Inserts
Archbishop Lucas has requested that all parishes in the Archdiocese use the same printed materials for preparing the Faithful to receive the new Roman Missal. The bulletin inserts chosen for use by the Archdiocesan Roman Missal Task Force and approved for use by Archbishop Lucas are those provided by Liturgy Training Publications.
The bulletin inserts are presented in eight (8) consecutive pamphlets. They are printed in full color. The Archdiocese is entering into an arrangement with LTP to allow parishes to purchase each packet of eight for only 56 cents. Individual parishes are asked to budget for this expense. In the near future, your parish will be contacted regarding the number of bulletins printed for each Sunday. This will determine the number of inserts which will be ordered for your parish by the Archdiocese. These inserts will be shipped pre-sorted directly to your parish. The parish will be billed directly by Liturgy Training Publications. These inserts are to be included in the parish bulletin on eight consecutive Sundays starting in mid September of 2011. Talking points will be provided for each of the eight Sundays for incorporation into the Sunday homily. The inserts, combined with liturgical preaching will be a major part of the proximate preparation for the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.
Creating a Parish Plan for Introducing the New Roman Missal
The USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has developed user-friendly materials for creating a parish plan. This will be presented at the Archbishop’s Convocation in September and October.
