Black Catholics

The Archdiocese of Omaha is committed to serving black Catholic families across the lifespan with outreach through parishes and the larger community. Parishes with particular outreach to our black Catholics include St. Benedict the Moor with Fr. Vitalis as Pastor, and St. Gerald with Fr. Kizito as Chaplain of the African Mass Community and Fr. Korte as St. Gerald's Pastor. Please see the parish websites for information on parish life. In addition, the National Black Catholic Congress is active in Omaha through an implementation team that meets regularly to pursue local goals and objectives in support of the national agenda of the NBCC.
