Mission Cooperative Plan
Mission societies or charitable organizations who wish to take part in the Mission Cooperative Plan in the Archdiocese of Omaha, must send a letter to:
The Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
100 North 62nd St.
Omaha, NE 68132
The letter is to be addressed to Mr. Omar F. A. Gutiérrez, Director
To be considered for participation in the archdiocesan plan, a mission organization must
• have sent in their request no later than September 1 of the year prior to that in which they wish to participate,
• have a U.S. based contact,
• be able to provide a priest, sister or brother for the mission appeal,
• be responsible for all their own transportation, room and board,
• be able to make the mission appeal between May 1 and September 31 of the year accepted.
Once a letter asking for participation is received, an acknowledgement letter will be sent. Decisions for acceptance are made in February and March. Because of the volume of requests, only those who are accepted into the plan will be notified of their acceptance through a letter. It is then the responsibility of the mission organization to contact the pastor of a parish to whom they are assigned and then notify Mr. Gutiérrez as to the dates and times agreed upon by the organization and the pastor.
Any and all other questions are to be directed to Mr. Gutiérrez at above address or:
