Welcome from Archbishop Lucas
Dear Friends in Christ
I am writing to every Catholic household in the Archdiocese of Omaha to ask your participation in the Archbishop's Annual Appeal. The effort is a living sign of our unity in Christ, as we reach out to others together in His name. It is also an opportunity to express thanks to God for the gift of our faith and for so many material blessings.
Jesus has given us both a great commandment and a great commission. We are to love one another and to proclaim the Good News of Salvation everywhere. Making a generous gift or pledge to the Appeal is an excellent way to proclaim the saving love of Jesus throughout the 147 parishes and missions of the Archdiocese of Omaha, in 23 northeast Nebraska counties.
The enclosed information illustrates the many important works that are funded by the Archbishop's Annual Appeal. These are needs that cannot be met effectively by any one parish alone. As you can see, when we all work together, so many people can be helped.
I ask you to consider making a donation as an expression of thanksgiving for the gift of our Catholic faith. Payments may be made all at once or over time, or you can elect an ongoing, recurring gift. Please complete the enclosed intention card and return it in the self-addressed envelope. I can assure you that your generous gift will make a difference in the lives of our neighbors every day during the coming year. Please be as generous as you can be.
Please also join me in praying for the success of the Archbishop's Annual Appeal. May God bless you for your support of those in need.
Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend George J. Lucas
Archbishop of Omaha
