Grief and Mourning are different

Grief is what you think and feel inside when someone you love dies. Mourning means letting those thoughts and feelings come out some how.  Mourning is needed to start to feel better.

The death of someone you love is probably the hardest thing you will every have to deal with. Go easy on yourself. Give yourself time.

There are six needs of mourning:

Accept the death.
Let yourself feel sad.
Remember the person who died.
Accept that your life is different now.
Think about why people died.
Let others help you, now and always.

Grief is hard work; many times it is helpful to look to a support group as you move further away from the initial stages of grief.  Shared grief is less burdensome.
