  2. Parish nursing program or ”ASK A NURSE” programs
  3. Transportation to Mass, shopping, medical appointments
  4. Providing spiritual, social and service activities for seniors
  5. Planning intergenerational activities with parish children
  6. Visitation programs to homebound and those in care facilities
  7. Retreats for seniors, including those homebound or in care facilities
  8. Parish newsletters, bulletins and other communications
  9. "Affirmation of Seniors" liturgy. Call 888-449-5309 for information.
  10. "Anointing of the Sick" liturgy, at least annually
  11. Architectural adjustments in church and parish buildings
  12. Provide a parish staff inservice on elder spirituality/elder issues
  13. Match an "at-risk" senior with a parish volunteer
  14. Provide a support group for caregivers
  15. Team up with the local senior center or other churches
  16. Above all, include seniors in all aspects of parish life!
