First National Encounter for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry - "Weaving the Future Together”

General Goal
The central goal of the First Encuentro is to engage Hispanic young people and the professional leadership in Hispanic and Youth and Young Adult ministry in a process of encounter-conversion- communion-solidarity and mission that can empower Hispanic young people into a more active, enthusiastic and influential participation in the life and mission of the Church in the United States.
Specific Goals
- Experience and encounter with the living Jesus Christ and affirm their gifts
- Deepen understanding of lived reality and challenges faced as individuals and as community
- Reflect on their reality in light of the Scriptures and the teachings of the Church
- Generate information, perspectives, insights and recommendations leading to a more effective pastoral ministry among Hispanic Catholic youth and young adults
